Technical Visit to Hong Kong International Airport (Apr 2019)
On behalf of the HKIE Student Chapter – HKUST, we would like to invite you to join our upcoming event – Technical Visit to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), which will be held on 17 April 2019 (Wednesday).
Hong Kong International Airport is an important contributor to Hong Kong's economy, with approximately 65,000 employees. More than 100 airlines operate flights from the airport to over 180 cities across the globe. In 2015, HKIA handled 68.5 million passengers, making it the 8th busiest airport worldwide by passenger traffic. Since 2010, it has also surpassed Memphis International Airport to become the world's busiest airport by cargo traffic. During the visit, students will not only have a chance to know more about the green initiatives and future development of HKIA, but also have a chance to peek inside the Integrated Airport Centre and Airfield.
Details of the visit are as follows:
Date: 17 April 2019 (Wednesday)
Time: 14:30 - 17:00
Venue: Hong Kong International Airport
(Round-trip shuttle will be provided from/to HKUST and HKIA)
(Shuttle will stop at Tung Chung MTR Station and HKUST for the return trip)
Fee: $10 (Member) / $30 (Non-member)
Quota: 40
