Overseas Delegation to Singapore and Thailand 2019
On behalf of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Student Chapter - Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, we are pleased to invite you to participate in Overseas Delegation to Singapore and Thailand 2019, which provides opportunities for students to broaden their horizon and explore engineering in a global scale. This year, the theme of this delegation is “Innovative Sustainability”
The brief information of the Overseas delegation is shown below:
Date: 1st June - 8th June 2019
Venue: Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand
Tentative visiting point: Nanyang Technology University, Asian Institution of Technology
Application fees: HKD 3650 (with GCE Funding**), HKD 7300 (without funding)
*including airline, accommodation, catering, transportation
Research Topic: Information and Communication Technology, Civil Construction and Chemical Processing and Manufacturing

Shortlisted applicants are required to attend the interview, please state your availability in the application form for arrangement. Once you apply successfully, please reserve your time. It is declared that absent without reasonable reason from the event would affect your further application on upcoming functions.
Other important information:
1. Eligible participants should be under UGC-funded degree in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Although all HKUST students can apply for this delegation, we would give preference to those who are HKIE student members.
2. Participants will have to go to a delegation group report. Three groups will be formed with the respective research topic. Each group would consist of 6-7 people.
3. Each group is required to finish a four pages report under respective research topic before the due day.
4. Successful participants should pay a refundable deposit of HKD 500 before the due date.
5. The deposit will be refunded after finishing the whole programme.
