Joint Student Chapters Competition 2018 - Engineering a Utopia
On behalf of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Student Chapters (HKIESC), we cordially invite you to participate in our flagship event Joint Student Chapters Competition 2018.
The theme of this year is “Engineering a Utopia”. Contestants are expected to elaborate their unique and innovative ideas in proposal format. Each team is required to submit a proposal on creating a new or improving an existing product or service. The topic should be related to Sustainable Development, and should fulfil at least one of the following scopes:
1. Intelligent Building
2. Green Construction and Methodology
3. Energy Efficiency and Management
Please see the attached Rules of Competition for further details.
Eight (8) best performing teams in the preliminary round will enter the final round and will give a presentation to further demonstrate the ideas and prototype to judges.
Timeline:
Proposal Submission: 10 February, 2018
Result Announcement (via email): 10 March, 2018
Final Presentation: 14 April, 2018
Awards
• Champion - HK$6000
• 1st runner-up - HK$3000
• 2nd runner-up - HK$1000
• Best Innovative Award - HK$500

Please complete the online application form at http://hkieust.wixsite.com/hkieust/enrollment-hkiejsccompetition2018 on or before 12th January 2018. All successful applicants will receive an acknowledgement email.
